Staging

jen-smallWhen it comes to selling your home there is no escaping the power of first impressions.  Once you have made the decision to list your property, try to disassociate yourself from the house.  Begin staging your home by thinking about the nicest hotel room you’ve ever walked into.  What was so great about it?  When you opened the door it was likely de-cluttered, clean and smelled nice.  The decor was neutral and limited to a few key pieces.  The room was well lit and bright.  The bedding was likely “romanticized” with white duvets and properly placed pillows.  The bathroom had clean, white towels and the bath decorated with candles and soaps.  If you take the same approach with your home you will invite potential buyers to not just want to stay the night, but stay forever!
